All Human Beings Are Entrepreneurs: How You've Already Started Your Business Without Even Realizing

From the moment we take our first steps, humans have an innate ability to innovate.

Just like how babies learn to walk or talk, we're naturally designed to solve problems and create.

Think of the times you built imaginary worlds with toys or found a clever solution to a school problem. That's your inner entrepreneur shining!

While the term "business coach" might sound serious, their job is to help bring out this creative spark in you.

So, in a way, every one of us starts as innovators, ready to change our world, one idea at a time.

Back When Caves Were Our Boardrooms…

Long, long ago, before skyscrapers and fancy offices, our ancestors lived in caves. This was where we first put our innovating minds to task.

Instead of discussing marketing strategies or the next big app, early humans strategized on hunting and gathering. Every individual played a crucial role in their 'business': finding food. Their survival depended on their entrepreneurial spirit.

They shared a common goal: survival.

They applied strategy: creating traps for food and discovering which vegetation was safe to eat.

These tasks required innovation, teamwork, and determination.

These ancestors didn't know the term 'entrepreneur,' but their actions spoke louder than words.

Just as businesses today rely on teams and strategies, our cave-dwelling ancestors leaned on their entrepreneurial instincts for survival. This innate ability is a part of our history, deeply embedded within us.

We've always been natural-born problem solvers and innovators; it's just that the “office” has changed.

When the World Told Us to Forget Our Spark

As time progressed, our societies changed. We shifted from hunting in vast terrains and gathering in dense forests to structured settlements and organized roles.

But as our living situations became more advanced, something significant was lost. The world began to label us. We weren't just people with unique skills and dreams anymore.

Instead, society often assigned us roles and said, "This is what you're supposed to do." Many were labeled as 'labor,' a term that hinted at routine tasks without much creativity. That vibrant entrepreneurial spirit, which had us inventing tools and discovering fire, began to dim.

It's as if the world said, "Stay in your lane and forget your innate drive." But deep down, that spark never truly went away. It just awaits the right moment, the right nudge, to illuminate once more.

Through a Coach’s Eyes: Everyone's Got a Competitive Edge

Imagine a coach watching a game unfold. This coach isn't just looking for superstar players, they are looking for your competitive edge. This is what YOU do better than anyone else. You may not see it yet, but a coach’s job is exactly that - identify and tease out your competitive edge.

Similarly in business, a business coach doesn’t only notice the giants of the industry. They understand that everyone, including you, has a unique perspective and potential waiting to be discovered.

Think about the times you've solved a problem, persuaded a friend, or organized a small event - all sparks of that primal creativity suiting the challenges of that moment.

These moments highlight your entrepreneurial spirit! We all have skills, passions, and instincts that can drive us forward in the world of business. It's a hidden superpower you might have never consciously tapped into.

A business coach’s job is to help you spot and train that superpower. So, the next time you think you're just 'ordinary', remember: you may have just not figured out how to harness it yet.

Unearthing Our Hidden Superpower

Deep inside each one of us is a hidden power: the spirit of entrepreneurship. Think of it like a superhero's ability we didn't know we had. Over time, layers of doubt and routine may have masked it or dimmed the light…

…but, with the right mindset and guidance from the right business coach, we can rediscover that primal entrepreneurial drive that helped us evolve so many centuries ago.

It starts with recognizing opportunities, nurturing creativity, and tapping into your primal instinct to act.

The entrepreneurial spirit has never left you, that edge is your innate unique-ness waiting to be resurfaced, and sometimes to go forward, you need to look backwards and remember just exactly how we got here.
